I am an artist and educator currently residing in Southwest Georgia. Spending a good deal of my life in Florida and Georgia, and I have a lifetime of witnessing migration, storms, development, and redevelopment. The South is a cultural melting pot filled with harmonies and dissonances. One cannot grow up in the South without experiencing its many ghosts; that, too, is implicit in my work.
I am fascinated by perceptions of natural and constructed worlds and to what degree the creation of simulacra and multiple realities are merely human processes.
Dates of works are approximated based on when they were shown or sold. Most works are continually reworked, resurfaced, and reassembled as part of a constant process.
